Business challenge
The Company for power distribution, with more than 250 employees, required a solution for efficient, reliable and cost-effective communications to better manage teams, that maintain city power distribution network in two shifts. Considering that their outdated radio communications system was not functional for quite some time, the employees had used mobile phones and faced frequent uncoordinated actions, while their lives were often in danger.
Solution
To enable reliable communicationa, we have modernized and digitalized the whole radio communication system, which was also expanded to several more locations. The whole territory of Belgrade city was covered with 18 Motorola DMR repetitors in two IP Site Connect systems for more than 150 users. Maintenace teams today use Motorola digital hand-held terminals, while mobile and fixed digital terminals are used in vehicles and dispatching centers.
